Campus Activities

The Office of Campus Activities is the best place to start getting connected. Here you will find all kinds of clubs, organizations, programs, events, and learning opportunities to get involved with.

 

Office of Community-Engaged Leadership (CEL)

The Office of Community-Engaged Leadership offers opportunities for students to engage in volunteer, service, and leadership development. 

  • Volunteer:  CEL has a database of community partners, some of which are health and medical related, looking for student volunteers. They also coordinate the ASU Alternative Service Experiences during fall, winter, and spring breaks, as well as local volunteer trips. 
  • Leadership: Offers leadership workshops and courses. It also houses the Leadership Studies Minor

 
Career Development Center (CDC)

The CDC is the place where students and alums can get assistance with all things job-related, such as resume writing, interview skills, assistance in finding jobs, internships, and co-op experiences, and coordinating graduate school and job fairs. If you aren’t sure what major or career is the best fit, visit Career Exploration. If you are looking for an internship, visit the Internship Office.
 

Mountaineer Medics 

Mountaineer Medics is App State's career development and emergency medical service (EMS) program.  Under the adminstration of EHS&EM, undergraduate and graduate students with Emergency Medical Technican (EMT) credentials work part-time to provide basic life suport to the App State community during large, special events.  Enrollment is open to any full or part-time students with a valid North Carolina EMT-Basic or higher level crediential.  Students without a current NC EMT-Basic certification may submit proof of enrollment in an accredited certification program or reinstatment process to apply for the program, but must obtain their license prior to their first duty assignment.
